This is the first crocheted bag I have made! I was inspired by a bag I saw on Ravelry and decided to have a go at the pattern myself. I modified it a bit, as the original pattern shows it as round, whereas I wanted to make a square bag.

 

The pattern can be found here. The pattern only has directions for the front part. I made up the rest of the bag as I went.

 

The lining was a bit beyond me, but my wonderful mum saved the day and helped out. She did the lining and added a zip closure for me. It really made the bag look so much better having that done nicely.

That's beautiful! I have that pattern bookmarked & thought about doing it a few times but since I've seen yours I am jumping it up on my to do list. The way you did it cinched it for me. :yes Great idea to "square" it! I love it :c9
