Here is a link to my photos. I tried to put them here directly but they came up way too large! I couldn't figure out how to make them smaller?? I am using the SusanB "Easy Ripple" pattern & am loving it! My yarn is Caron One Pound in Jonquil, Lilac, Lt. Sage & White.

Hi Everyone -

Just went thru the pics listed in post #1. Wow! They are all great looking. Its fun to see color combo's I'd never think of. Now I have plenty of ideas for my next ripple.

I couldn't understand some of you when you said you could "ripple" and do other things like watching t.v. Since I'm a beginner, I couldn't imagine being able to crochet AND do something else :think. Now that I've figured out the ripple pattern, I am thrilled to say I too can watch t.v., have a conversation, etc. AND crochet at the same time.

WONDERFUL!!!

:clap congrats for being able to crochet and do something else...lol

I am finished with the warm waves afghan...:yay:yay the finished dimensions are 68"w x 78" long...easily covers a queen size bed. And as I had mentioned before, my husband has claimed it for himself.

I have a new color to make something with and am having a wicked time trying to decide what. I have been going through my pattern books all day and still nothing as jumped out at me...so I'm off to search the net.

Both of those are so pretty ILvYarn and the yarn is so pretty and sparkly. Is that Bernat Coordinates for the round ripple and Red Heart Soft Baby for the regular ripple?

For the round ripple i am using red heart baby econo, and red heart soft baby for the regular ripple.

with you guys if it is not too late. I just finished my first round ripple for a new nephew and have started just a regular ripple using dark blue and blue varigated yarn and it is working up pretty good.

I will try and post a picture of them soon.

This is my first CAL and I have a "duh" question? Is there a time-frame for CAL's, or does everyone just jump in when they can and finish when they can?

Wow...that is beautiful...love, love, love the color combo...do u mind me asking what pattern your using?? Looks like all sc...but???

Pattern is "Shaded Blanket" from Vanna's Choice Color it Beautiful Afghans.

The only deviation from the pattern is I single crochet two rows of color then change, and the pattern calls for 4 single crochet rows of color then change.

Thanks for the compliments!

I can't say for all CAL's but there is no time frame for this one...anytime you want to jump in, and any number of ripples you want to make!!!:hook

Piles of them actually..... I am now making a ripple using crochet thread and a 0 steel hook. I know, Im :loco but it is worth a shot. It will likely end up being about the size of a baby blanket. I dont think im crazy enough to make it big enough for a larger bed.

I am now in charge of making a Bed sized blanket for my Hubby. I asked him what colors he wanted, and he didnt realy care. So... I told him I was going to make it green and yellow. John Deere colors, LOL.

He actually liked that idea. So.... When The "tractor bug" bites me , I will get the yarn and start on it.

I think I am going to just use a basic ripple with 2 strands, and a large P hook. Maybe that will make it go along a little quicker.

:loco 4 :hook
