  15. Isn't that a great pattern? I made that in blues and it turned out so pretty. I love your color choice. Soooo pretty.
  16. I guess I am just of a different mind. I applaude her ability to be different and be confident that she loved what she wore and wore it proudly. I like the dress! It is bright, colorful and whimsical.
  17. That is really pretty! I'm with Catwalker Smith. Where could I find the border pattern? That really made everything come together so nicely.
  18. Blocking is when the item is still damp, you shape it on a towel or sheet, so it lies flat and all the corners are shaped. For thread pieces you can use straight pins to make sure that all the openings are "perfect". Then let it air dry.
  19. Wow! I can't believe you made all of those in one month! They are gorgeous! It would take me a couple of months just to make one. I am so envious of you.
  20. When my eldest son was about 2-2 1/2 years old, I had gone in to start dinner. Everything was way too quiet in the living room. I walked in and there he was, in the middle of the floor, unraveling an afghan that I had been working on for weeks. He looked up at me with the most sweet smile and proudly said, "I helping mommy". It was so precious and so heartbreaking at the same time. I grabbed my camera and took one of the sweetest pictures to this date. He was literally covered in yarn up to his waist.
  21. I always wash (on gentle cycle) and block mine before giving. The reason I do it is because I have cats in my home and I know that there are those that are allergic to cats. I block it in a room where it is a cat free zone, and immediatly put them in some type of bag to keep them as free from allegrins as I can. So far, no one has complained.
  22. That is simply gorgeous! I love the colors! I am so drooling over it.
