Wow, they are great! Are they made from yarn or thread?

I used 3 strands of Cannon thread size 8, since I designed this bag for the thread manufacturer. This can be worked with other types of yarn, using 4mm hook or whatever will make tightweave stitches.

Thanks so much for the answer! I don't do thread, so I'm relieved it can be made in yarn. I want to make my mother a purse, so I e-mailed her a list of links to purse pictures...and she absolutely loved yours!! She says she's ordering it tonight. Thanks for a great pattern!

P.S. On the backpack pattern its Simply Creative Crochet 2003...Went to BHG site & then called them..They dont make the magazine anymore..But had a nice lady who sent me the pattern by email & mail cuz sum of I couldnt see it clearly....
