2020 Stashbusting CAL

Most of my spare time is spent fighting the weeds that are taking over my garden since we had a lot of :2rain . I did get 30 or more beans already. I did get in a little :crocheting , but no :yarn used this week.

I got a few things finished this week. I used up a spool of thread on the wiggle hot pad, 2 skeins of cotton on soup bowl cozies & I gave away 4 skeins. That makes for a pretty good week for me! cool.png

It's been a long day! I had all four grands for 8 hours while DIL made a 5 hour round trip to get an MRI and see a dr. Dr got called to emergency surgery so she has to go back on Thursday. I hope I can survive another day. LOL I don't think dr's offices understand having to go long distances to see a specialist.

Good news is that I got in a little crochet time while the two year olds were napping. Finished the last round and a half on a blanket and a skein. Then used up the last little bit of another skein when I started a lap throw.  +4

Just cooked some  bacon for BLT's for supper. Hopefully I'll get to bed early. Oh shoot, I just remembered this is DH's steroid day so maybe not.

We missed the rain today but it's in the forecast all week. I really, really need to weed the garden and get two 6 packs of plants potted. Maybe tomorrow.

Wish I could share some with you. We've had a wet winter and spring. 4" in the last week. The end of July and August are our dry time. So in a few weeks I'll probably be saying-- I've got to water the garden again?!?

Another long day with the grands--thought it was going to be shorter but it was longer. LOL The oldest one broke her arm yesterday so she was fairly quiet but the other three made up for it.

During nap time I finished the edging on a lap throw for the nursing home but didn't use up any skeins.

I think I'll go find something for supper followed by some chocolate.

:crocheting some more face masks, used 5 balls cotton (+5) :cheer. My garden is growing great, but the weeds keep trying to take over :irk . I have many green tomatoes, but I've picked so many beans plus my 1st  cucumber :yay .

I’m at the home stretch on the Woodlands Stripe Throw!  I’m doing the crab stitch border, which is ghastly on my arthritis, so I’m taking frequent breaks.  Then I need to play catchup on my Seaside Sampler Afghan before the next Annie’s Attic yarn shipment comes in.

So, this week I managed to use up a skein.  :clap

I made 2 more bunnies, 3 baby hats and 2 pocket prayer shawls. I used 2 balls and a skein (+4). I started some more rainbow squares. When I get them all done and :crocheting together the balls of rainbow :yarn  should be gone. I've got plenty of ideas, but I'm running out of :yarn . Good for this game, but not for my sanity.

I’ve been frantically working on the Seaside Afghan before the next Annie’s Attic installment come in.  No skeins used up, though, so:

Its been a frustrating week but I found time this afternoon to weave in the ends on these two.

They're lovely!

It was a busy work week for me, but I finished a scarf for the Christmas box.

Looks like I’ll be in the negatives this week, as my latest Seaside Sampler Afghan monthly shipment arrived!  However, I’m making good progress. :manyheart
