The unofficial start of Summer has come! I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekend.

Now that June is here things are heating up! What will you be working on?

light weight cotton projects? Small portable projects to take to the beach?

Will you make something for a Bride?

This is the place to come and share and chat!

(and if you are still finishin your list from May ... that's ok too!)

Right now I am working on the butterfly pillow. I should have it completed tomorrow or Friday. After that, I will be working on designing and making a project/yarn organizer. Once I get my new camera, I'll start posting some pics. :yay

Thanks for that link -- I had to print it off and add it to my stack of "things I need to make!" :) Granddaughters would LOVE pillows made with this pattern! I can personalize with color and make one for each of them. Thanks again!

I'm going to get caught up with the Square of the Month CAL, (not necessarily including any bonus squares). I'd like to finish at least one bathroom rug, of the three I have in progress.

Of course! "In June I Will .... visit the CAL and see what everyone else is up to!"

Welcome!

Today when I go to wouk I am going to take the heptagons. I am getting close to where I need them done and they are portable. I have a feeling that I am going to need a lot of :cheer to get this finished.

In June Will .....

Attempt the Angel afghan Square that is on Kim Guzman's website.

She gave me permission two years ago to make it for a preschool auction donation. I tried but had trouble with the pattern (user error!)

Now that my skills have progressed a bit i think I am ready to try again!

I saw the May one of these and was sad that I didn't join. I have a question though. Do you have to be working on projects you plan to finish in a month?

You can do any project you want!

If you are working on a large project that will take longer than a month then you can tell us what progress you hope to make during the month!

ie. I will complete 12 squares of the flower square afghan

I will finish 10 rows on the round ripple etc.

And ... the best part is ... if you DON'T reach your monthly goals you can add them to your list on the next month!

No rules! No homework deadlines! You will not be kept after school to finish on June 30th!

1. finish up projects for kitchen swap and get it in the mail

2. finish baby dress (just needs me to sew on buttons and weave in ends)

3. finish newborn baby gown (also just needs buttons and ends done)

Awesome! Then here is my diabolical plan...

Work my tail off on the Sunflower Granny Lapghan I decided to do yesterday! I'm not sure how big it is going to be yet, but my guess is 80 squares right now. If I could get 40 or more this month that would be great. Good luck everyone! Can't wait to read more about all your projects.

Sunflower Granny Lapghan deadline: August 06, 2011.
