Mom and I just got done with the second coat of paint on the hubby's new computer cave. Wow is it going to be cave-like! dark pewter gray is... DARK! We're going to use the gallon of Manhattan Mist (light gray) that was supposed to be for the bathroom and use it for the trim in the computer cave instead. The current medium wood trim color just looks awful with the dark gray walls.

 

So now that painting is done for the day... time to see if I can bust some more stash!

I'm so glad I could help you all feel guiltless this week.

Most of those skeins were only one or two ounces. I'm thinking there are a lot of hats in the near future. But I have to use up all the yarn I bought while out shopping with Sue last Sunday. There are a few afghans that need to be made first.

Geez...I'm feeling snowed under with all this yarn Think I'll have to take a few vactation days just to enjoy this feeling. :rofl

 

If you take vacation days you KNOW we'll just end up shopping again!

i used up 2 partial skeins and 1 full skein. 1 partial and the full went to an afghan and the other partial was used in another afghan. good thing i am working on a positive this week since tomorrow i am going to acmoore to get yarn for the sunflower afghan i will be making

I kept on working on my granddaughters ripple ghan this week and used up 21 sks, I also decided today was a good day to get rid of some full skeins and some half used skeins that I will never use. Just my excuse for my husband to buy me more yarn for the afghans I want to make. Wound up with a whopping WTD+142.

That was my plan, too. Then I got a chance to go by a different Wal-Mart that had yarn colors our local one doesn't. I bought some cotton, but managed to resist the tweed stripes.

 

Guess I'll have to work really hard this week. Not making a good start, since I ripped out five rows of my afghan this morning! A misplaced ( in the pattern--took me that long to figure out what I was supposed to be doing.

Somebody else better go buy tons of yarn this week, 'cause I feel a 'shoot the moon' shopping trip coming on. My daughter called me last night and it seems I may be a grandma :grandma by the end of the year! Since she and her hubby are very much into the eco and organic lifestyle, I'll have to go buy something other than acrylic and get started on some baby things.

 

Note to self: Go dig through the stash first!!!
