UPDATED WITH PATTERN:::I found a square pattern (ONLINE FOR FREE) for a square I made for someone here, so I can't say her name yet, but the center was done like a puzzle piece, it was pretty cool to do so I thought I would share the puzzle part! The pattern is called something like Waldo's Puzzle Square.

I just meant I'm sending this square to someone here but it is a surprise! The pattern is located online at http://www.geocities.com/cdjsimon/waldos_puzzle.html It was easy but I had to do the last circle twice because I didn't weave it around correctly, and in the end did it backwards, while the other three were frontwards. You can tell which one if you look, but it was fun to do. I have a sweater pattern that has the interlocking circles along the edge and it looks really cute

It is so very cool. I have such color ideas, hehe.

If you want the book, I'll be happy to tell you which it is, but I hesitate to spoil a surprise. PM me if you wish!

It is very easy to do, even though it looks tough! It would make an awesome afghan I think:yes. Here is the link for anyone who wants to try it, or wants to see how it is made.......

Actually I don't think it would make a good afghan at all, unless you wanted one with holes all over it! There is a lot of empty space around the center design.

I LOVE this pattern, and all of Chris Simon's square patterns. I made several afghans for silent auctions last summer using her patterns. I used this one (Waldo's Puzzle) for an afghan, but I only made four of them and put them at each corner because I didn't figure it would be that great for an entire afghan (as someone mentioned). But, it is a great pattern and really looks neat. LOVE the interlocking rings.
