Little Star, Baby, It's Cold Outside!

Here's a couple of WIPs I started/finished this week. They are for my great-nephew due in July. This will make approximately, 25 great-nieces/nephews for me. Then there's another due in November.

The sweater is from http://www.crochetme.com Feb/March 2005 Issue 4 and called 'Baby It's Cold Outside'. The afghan is 'Beth's Little Star Afghan' from http://www.angelfire.com/va3/heartfeltangels/littlestarafghan.html This afghan gave me lots of trouble in the beginning but then it just flowed. Both took about 2 days once I got started.

There will be a hat & booties to go with this eventually.

Awesome job, looks like you could just wrap that baby up with love!

That's the idea, Alli! :manyheart

Thanx all. Both patterns were done in LionBrand's Pound of Love, White & Pastel Green (it's more of a mint). :hook

What a beautiful set. I am making a baby blanket now - maybe I'll have enough yarn to make a little sweater too. Yours is just too precious!

Those are just great!:clap Don't you just love that Star Afghan pattern now. That sweater looks like I might could do it. I am still very new at cloths. Only made the onesies so far.

Shari, believe it or not, but this was my very first baby sweater and it was so easy. I made it yesterday....start to finish. It's made as a flat piece (acutally 1 big flat piece then another for the second sleeve & panel), then fold it over and slip stitch the seams together. I even made the buttons on the sweater (the instructions for making the buttons is on the same page as the sweater).

Next I'm going to make booties, thumbless mittens and a cap for the set. And maybe a stuffed animal...more than likely a dolphin. All in the same colors. Then that baby will be done and I can move on to the next one. :hook

Those are both really nice. I have yet to make any sweaters, but knowing that this was an easy one, I may give it a go.

Very pretty! I'm glad to find an easy sweater pattern.

I've never made one and there are at least 2 babies that I would like to make sweaters for. There are 4 babies being born in my husbands and my families in the next few months. haven't decided what I'll make for all except I will be making blankets. 'cause I know I can make blankets :)
