My first attempt at a wearable. I made this for my mom to give a friend as a birthday present. I'm pretty pleased the way it turned out.

That is such a pretty shawl. Makes me want to make one but I can't until I finish freezing green beans. I've got 35 qts sitting here & another 40 qts in my garden.

I love it in that color. What yarn did you use? I am making one right now for my mother. If weren't for all those pictures, I don't think I could do it!

 

The yarn was called Red Hat Luxe something or other that I bought on eBay. It has reds, purples and a bit of sparkle all spun together.

 

The pattern does have a few "leaps of faith" were you really rely on the pictures to get to the next section. Once you've done a few rows, the leaps are easier to deal with as it really does just repeat itself.

i started the other day. this is my first attempt at a shawl. i found all of the info with the pictures and info from others on the board but it is still slow going for me. i'm on row 13 so i'm beginning to see how things are supposed to go.
