Thanks so much for all your kind comments.

Phoenix - The body of the bag is, as you said, simply a big granny square, crocheted to the circles on the last round of each circle. I always try to plan my bags so that there is no sewing involved in the construction, and only the zip and the lining need to be sewn.

Great bag! Very creative use of the granny square! Do you make both pieces and then crochet them together?

Thanks for the compliments,everybody.

JCB - I make one square, and two circles. The side of the square is equal to the circumference of the circles. When working the last round of each circle, I attach it to the square by crocheting both pieces together using sc.
