A few more doilies

A few doilies I completed this month.

All use #10 Grandma's Best in white, except for the first one which uses Royale 'bridal blue'.

 

A petite pineapple (Priscilla Hewitt's pattern) - came out to about 8"

 

 

a crochet-a-long doily pattern by Cylinda Mathews - about 12.5" in diameter

 

 

and a vintage pineapple (from Celt's site) - this one was about 16"

 

 

 

I'm working on 3 more doilies at the moment, one is being blocked, another is almost finished, the third one is about 50% done. I think I'm addicted.

These are beautiful - I love the precision in your work. You've given me a different perspective on how to look at patterns within the doilies by changing those colors, I really like what you did with the blue/white one!

They are all beautiful. My favorite is the 3rd & your looks much better in white than the pink from the pattern. I wouldn't even consider making one in pink but in the white it looks so much better.

I love how you did the two colours on that first one. I too am going through a doily phase. (I may have to nab that idea if you dont mind)

I rarely do anything all in one color (well, except white)... For one thing, white thread is cheaper (esp. when you buy 1000-yd balls), and I really like adding just a few touches of color here and there without making the doily color-heavy.
