Red Stole

I made this red stole for my summer secret pal, Crochet Fanatic. I used a hex net stitch for the body and the circular inset motif (p. 131) from Crocheting School (Sterling Pub). I made the motifs first and then created the body of the stole to fit the width. It took 3 1/2 skeins of TLC Cotton Plus in red and it measures about 22" x 72".

 

 

One of my girlfriends tried to abscond with it, saying it would look great with her new black dress. I'll throw another pic on my blog.
