my first ever afghan

Squares have been tricky for me, so I stuck to a super easy design, but I'm really pleased with the final result. Mailed it of today. It gave me the confidence to try some fancier patterns.

I was terrified to join the squares, but I used a zig zag join method and it was amazingly fast and EASY!

 

Don't know why some of you can see it, and some can't.

That turned out beautiful! I really like how you were able to mix both grey and brown with all the pastels - it really looks sharp.

The joining method I used is here. The fifth one down. It was really fast and easy, and I like the way it looks (if you don't mind an open weave). I hear so many people complain about sewing squares, and this was so easy!!
