Tea Cake Box

Recommended Posts

This is from a recent Crochet World, the February 2011 issue. Well I guess it isn't "that" recent, but... It's from this year, anyway. I made it for a girl I send things to on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. She is turning "Sweet 16" next month, and so I crocheted her a little cake (I am sending her other stuff, too). :cake I was thinking about a jewelry box. :think Anyone know how to crochet one of those? :heehee (I'm just kidding..) Anyway.. It was a bit of work, but I think it turned out okay.

Ah very sweet present! I am sure she will love it. Just the fact that you send her something special probably makes her feel .... well, special! 16 is one of those BIG birthdays! She will feel like a grown up lady on this one but still have days when she wants to be a child. Such confusing and wonderful years!

I don't do plastic canvas. :( I did find a few small jewelry boxes at the Thrift store, though. Only $3 each and they looked brand new, still in boxes. Cha-Ching. :P
