Hi. My name is Beth. I've been crocheting for 34 years, since I was 8. My grandmother taught me one summer while my sister and I were visiting. For years and years I attempted large projects but finally gave up on that idea a couple of years ago and started making hats and purses. I enjoy both because they are small, quick, and you can actually use them. A few days ago I happened upon freeform crochet and fell in love. I'm starting a piece now and I doubt I will ever go back to patterns. Why I didn't think of this on my own I'll never know!

 

I just move to Athens, Ohio about a month ago from the Gulf coast of Florida. I'm getting ready to start graduate school next week. I'm getting my MFA in playwriting, so I doubt I have a lot of time to crochet but that is one of the advantages of freeform. You can just do a bit at a time.
