I worked on the shawl for me for a little while and then started a ripple for my DD's friend's baby to be. It's been a lovely day here- although a little warm for April- but I've got the windows open and there's a wonderful breeze coming through.

Hi all, it's krafty19 (Sherry). It had to make a new account to get signed in. Still waiting ot hear from Amy if I can get my password problem fixed so I can use the old account.

 

My family is all safe, the tornadoes last night were NE of us. The one that started in Woodward, OK, went into Kansas, going on into Wichita and further on. We have a lot of family that lives in Wichita, only one cousin had damage to his house but no injuries. Everyone else is safe. Thanks for all the prayers and good thoughts.

 

I've been working on Sue's latest tote, sorry to have I haven't finished it. But I hope to finish it today (no grandsons here today). My broken toe really did a number on me. I'm probably going to the dr to have an xray as it's still very swollen and painful.

 

Oldest GS went to his first karate tournament, and got 2 first place and 2 third place trophies. So very proud of him! Will try to post a pic later.

 

Well, gotta go but wanted to let you know we are ok here in Oklahoma.

Morning Everyone! The day is starting out with a bang. Dog woke me up at 6:40. She stood up (yeah, she was sleeping in bed with me, ) turned around and heaved all over DH's bed! Good thing DH wasn't in it! That got me up quick anyways and I striped the bed and got her outside, but she was done. She's feeling fine now! LOL! Ahhh, kids, doesn't matter if they are human or furbabies, they keep us on our toes.

Hey, did anyone watch Harry's Law last night? OMG! Love that show! I also got 2 preemie hats made while watching it! Have a wonderful Patriot's Day all!

 

Quick good morning and Happy Monday - It seems like I should be headed to the beach instead of Paradise since temps are going to be in the 80's!!! Sure hope that the AC is on at work today!

Ann-I totally forgot that Harry's Law was on last night!!! I would have set the DVR!!!! They keep switching what night it is on. Is it back to being on Sunday's all the time now? I must set the DVR! Happy Patriots day back at you! My DD was off and went to Fenway for the 11AM Red Sox game (they lost) and then tonight was going with a group of friends to watch the Bruins at a sports bar.

 

Sue- Hope class went well and that you enjoyed lunch with Bruce and then QUIET time at home!

 

Kuddles- How was your Monday? It hit 91 degrees here- the AC was on at work, but my new location is a tad warm. We're not allowed to have fans but guess what, I have a small one that is going on my desk tomorrow. I know,I such a rebel!

Morning All! Supposed to be another warm one, but not quite as warm as yesterday. We had record #'s drop out of the marathon is was so hot! I think today is only supposed to be around 80. I'll take it! Heading out early for a cardioligist appt, then will be home the rest of the day to relax and enjoy the weather! (and maybe get a nap in, lol!) I finished a couple more preemie hats yesterday. Now to get them washed and mailed off to my friend. I'll try to get a pic posted later today. Have a wonderful day everyone!

Thanks for asking. She was admitted to MD Anderson Orlando on Saturday for intestinal issues. As of yesterday, she seemed to be better. They were going to release her after her chemo treatment last night.

 

My only full day off where I can sleep in...and they decide it's a good day to do road work in front of my house. UGH!

 

Going to Joann's today to get some fleece since Bruce wants one of the Edgerydoo afghans, plus have to grocery shop.

I think we are finally past the March into April "everything scheduled the same week" rush! I've actually had some serious crocheting time this week and it's only Tuesday. It's raining again today (with a high of only 68), so the yarn mowing will have to wait.

 

DH is off to a seminar next week, so I'm going up one day to visit with DS and go the extra distance out to the HL. Hope I can find some yarn I need to start two afghans. I ordered some, but didn't like the color shades on part of it.

Released a 3 striped mud today that had been chewed up by a dog. She's lived with me at home for almost a year and it was time for her to finish her life where she belongs...wild. I let her go at a pond down the road from my house. So wish Bella luck!

 

Tomorrow my co-worker and I are going to head a little west to release a juvenile gopher tortoise that was hit by a car. She had a broken jaw and is now ready to be free! She'd been with us healing for about a year too. So also wish Abigail luck! She was affectionately refered to as our "pit bull" since she liked to growl at us...yes, tortoises growl.

Hi all! Had a great visit with the cardiologist! As a matter of fact, she said that there is no need to go back! Check one dr off the list! Now to keep it that way! And I've been using my FFB that I made back in the fall I think and on the way out, in the elevator, I had several people comment on how nice it was and wanted to know who made it! One lady said she crochets too and is going to make one now. Made me feel good.

 

Joanne, did you get that DVR set for Harry's Law for next week?
