There was a knitted version first, along with the bacon and eggs hat, guinea pig dress, and all the other "strange" knitting patterns I can't think of at the moment.

Thanks for the link! I've been wanting to make one (believe it or not I know somebody who would looooove it and wear it in public) but my knitting skills aren't up to par. A crocheted version is a great idea!!

That is hilarious!! My 23 year old son ACTUALLY wants his incredibly talented mom (that's me lol) to make one for him! He's funny that way...I'm sure the Marine Corps would love to see him wearing that while in uniform. lol

Too much, my hubby would love it, even though he wouldn't wear it, at least not in public

I showed it to my husband last night, and he laughed out loud (usually he just smiles and nods when I put a pattern in front of him).

 

So far I'm planning on making about 4...one for me, one for Hubster, and 2 for folks here at work. I think mine with be "roasted turkey" color. Can't wait to show up at my aunt's house on Turkey Day wearing this!
