  1. If you're going to be near Plano, you HAVE to check out the Woolie Ewe. You will be awestruck by their yarn, and they have a huge selection of notions and needles (can't remember what their hook selection was like). Here's their website: http://www.woolieewe.com/default.asp Other shops in Dallas are The Shabby Sheep (http://www.theshabbysheep.com/) and Yarn and Stitches (http://yarnandstitches.com/). I haven't been to either of these, but I've heard good things about The Shabby Sheep. There's also Desert Designs Knitz, but I wouldn't waste your time there, unless you're mainly interested in novelty yarns. Have fun!
  2. I'm having trouble again! I set it aside after seaming the shoulders thinking the hard part was behind me. Not so much. At the part where you start the sleeves, I'm somehow really off on the number of ch3 spaces I have...somewhere in the neighborhood of 25 rather than 29. I tried twice to get it right (without taking anything apart, that is), but to no avail. So, it's in the UFO pile again. I'm debating winging it on the sleeves, or just ripping it out and making something else with the yarn. Or, maybe I could figure something out where I make it into a vest instead...
  3. You poor thing! Just remember it'll be faster the second time around! I am now on the lower back section, but I've taken a break from it for a few days since my hands were starting to bother me. Hopefully I'll pick it up again over the weekend.
  4. Cool! I'm almost finished with the top part of the back! Then it's on to left front and the lower back. It's going fairly quickly now.
  5. Definitely! I think it will go pretty quickly...once I find time to actually work on it, that is!
  6. They're not currently selling it, but I think it might come back.
  7. It's working okay for me in Endless Summer Lara. I decided on it by checking the gauge on the label of Filatura di Crosa Brilla, then the gauge for Lara, and the swatch seemed okay. If it's too small I can stretch when I block.
  8. Ooh ooh, I figured it out! I missed a (tr, ch3) in one of the "row 3s." Fortunately I only have to rip out the right front panel, the first row of the back, and a couple of rows of the upper waist panel. Thank you so much, Anna! I had posted here and on Craftster, as well as emailed StitchDiva and Deb Stoller. You were the only reply! :hugI can't tell you how relieved I was when I found the problem. Off to do a little frogging!
  9. I'm so glad someone responded! I'm actually using the HH version...it seems much simpler. I'm doing the next smallest size, so I would need to skip 5 (doesn't that seem weird, though, the 5,2,5,2 thing?). If I were to work the side panels over 5 spaces, i think I'd still be coming up wrong....after working the back, I have 21 ch spaces remaining, which obviously doesn't split evenly. Maybe I worked the back wrong. I'll look at it over lunch and see if I can figure it out. Hopefully i didn't mess up somewhere in that upper waist panel, otherwise I'm back to the beginning!
  10. So, I've had this pattern and the yarn for a long time (my SP got it from me from Stitch Diva last summer), and I'm just now getting to it. I've done the upper waist panel and the right front, and I just started the back, but I think something must be off. I'm working the second smallest size, and followed the instructions word for word, but it looks like when I add the left front it won't be symmetrical with the right front. What I mean specifically is that, the right front panel was worked over 6 ch3 spaces, then I skipped 5 ch3 spaces, then joined the yarn and worked the first row of the back. So, I'm assuming that I would need to have 11 ch3 spaces remaining for the left front panel, correct? But I have 10. What have I done wrong? Looking more closely at the right front, I may have actually needed to work over 7 ch3 spaces, which would make me short 2 ch3 spaces. If anyone has worked this and has any advice, I’d greatly appreciate it!
  11. Books-a-Million (bamm.com) appears to have it too. http://www.booksamillion.com/ncom/books?id=3401618422569&isbn=0761139850
  12. I got mine the other day and it's really not my style. First one to PM me can have it!
  13. Very cute! I like the zig-zag!
  14. Teresa, I'm so sorry for you and your family's loss. That's just awful.
