Oxford Town Tote

I made this tote from the Fall 2008 issue of Interweave Crochet. I used Bernat Baby Sport yarn and love how it turned out. I put a base (plastic canvas) in the bottom so it would hold items better. It would make a great diaper bag (as my dd told me...lol).

It really wasn't difficult at all. If you can do a fpdc and fptr you should be able to do it. This would work up really nice in crochet nylon too.

Nice job. That bag turned out great! You have me thinking about what yarns I could make it out of. I was on the fence with the pattern cause I wasn't sure how it would look in something other than the linen yarn they used in the magazine, but I am now convinced. Thanks!
