My Haekelbeutel Bag

After seeing all the other fantastic bags here, I was determined to make one of my own. But I was having some technical difficulties trying to figure out how to stitch it but I have received some help and here is the link to my finished project! The yarn I used was Aran and Cherry Chip.

I might try one with the red green white christmas variagated on the inside and the white on the edges.

 

Would it look ok to use the variagated to stitch them together to add some more color between the whites or would it be too little to look good?

I think it all depends on how you feel when you see the squares after you make them. But I had the same idea about using the christmas colors and then line the bag with material with holly....wouldn't that be festive?
