Made this for friend Andy for his birthday. I hope to do my mom's name for her Thanksgiving break from Iraq, but only have the letters J and D; missing O and Y. She might just end up with initials instead. Oh, well. The pattern was easy to do. The nicest thing is that since the front and back are the same, you can match up the edging stitch for stitch.

 

They really need to make dark fiber fill for all us crafters, don't they?

That's an awesome gift. I wonder if you could just put a felt backing or something between and then the stuffing wouldnt show?

Very cool. Try putting the stuffing in dark stockings before you put it in the letter. Works great for stuffies. Dark stuffing would be great, but until they make it, this works good.

You can find black quilting batting that is easily torn for stuffing. I've used that for small projects. Once upon a time I know they used to sell a dark polyfill stuffing. I just can't find it online.
