My mom used to buy kits like that all the time. They were available in the stores. She made the same afghan, I looked through her patterns, but that on is not there. She had a habit of loaning patterns out to her friends and then not asking for them back.

The pieces seem to be made in the same way....they are all motifs that are later sewn together.
