Kitchen towels

The towels turned out really cute!!!!! lol.........my mom always gives me towels to make towel toppers. I made one and I have to make another one. But I'm glad I didn't give them to her yet, because I like the way you put the shells that was a really good idea. Great Job!!!!!!!

I turned the towel upside down & made my stitches in the 1st loops. I began by ch1 then 5 dc shell skip 1 st ,slip st in the next, skip 1 st, 5 dc shell in next , repeat until the end. I then turned it right side up with yarn still attached and did sc in all the stitches across. I made a sc in the top of the shells & slip st & the missed stitches.

I just love your towels with the shells. They have a much more "finished" look to them. I've been making these towels for years now and never thought of any kind of edging!! (I have about 24 towels in my craft room that are already cut in half, which makes 48(:eek)towels that I have to crochet)!! A big "THANK YOU" for the really neat idea!! :clap
