Applique roses

Here are some roses I made for the Spring. They are the same as the roses I made for the Holiday Rose doily last Fall - roses are those of the Rose Garland vintage doily, leaves are my own design. There's one for Valentine's Day, one for St. Patrick's Day, and one for Spring.

The pattern comes from the Rose Garland doily. I just added leaves.

Wow!! Those are beautiful roses!! ( Back in the 70's I had that crochet pamphlet. The rose doily, I remember using the color "ecru" and for the roses, I used, for one doily, I used red, the next doily I used variegated pinks, and I think the 3rd, I used variegated peach. I never did try the pansy doily. I can't believe, I made those doilies when I was either 18 or 19 yrs. old. I somehow misplaced them in my divorce!!) I don't know if I would have the patience to do it now that I'm older!!
