I like the "solid" lacy feel of it. You did a great job!

Hi,

Just wondering if anyone has a pattern ready for this week? Linda, are you ready for another or would you like to save yours for another week?

LOL, see I'm hounding you again! :devil Sorry.

I came accross a new site (new to me) with a few more patterns. Please let me know if you want me to post one.

Happy crocheting,

I haven't gotten the other two of mine written up on the computer yet. How about if I write them up for next week and the week after. Things have been hectic around here lately.

Hi Linda,

That works for me and I hope you didn't really think I was bugging you!

Here's the pattern I found.

I'm sorry I've been absent a while. I need to do some heavy catching up. I may have to work backwards because I've lost my place of where I am on my flakes LOL! Ds had his first major ear surgery last week & I haven't had much time. His surgery was a success & he is recovering well :) ... they did what needed to be done removing disease called cholesteatoma but they had to remove two of his hearing bones in the process (in the middle ear). So we are going to have more to do & things to decide.

Anyway I am going to try & catch up with my snowflakes. Since it's Sunday I thought I'd suggest a snowflake if no one else has a preference this week.

Here is one I stumbled on in someones snowflaking blog. :yes The link is strange, I have to scroll up because it links to the comments on the flake but hopefully the link is working.

Hi Shell,

Very pretty snowflake. I'm sure we can use it but I think maybe Linda (busy-bee-lmt) was working on one for this week. She was very busy though so maybe she'd like more time. I'd say lets leave it up to Linda. If her original pattern is ready we could do yours next week or if she's not quite ready we can use yours this week.

What does everyone else think? Linda?

:hook

Use Shell's. I'm getting ready to be gone for the most of July and it's getting nuts around here.

Thanks Linda. Here's hoping you have fun. :yes

Oops...I'm sorry Linda, I didn't mean to jump ahead when you'd planned to post your flakes. I should go backward to read some posts I missed.:yes

edit: oh they are beautiful Linda! I hope you can post the patterns soon. I am going to do the one you already posted.

Thanks to Nancy for posting the up to date list, I've taken the liberty f reposting as I figured out how to fix this week's link so that it stays at the flake :).

Cheers :),

Hi everyone,

It's Tuesday and we don't have a pattern yet. I'd like to propose another one from Sally George. How about Snowflake # 6?

(We've done 3, 4, and 7 so far). http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/snowflakes.html

(Snowflake # 6)

I'm going back there now and plan to make a donation. There's a PayPal button on the site.

Is anyone with me?

busy bee missmax and marika....

are you the only 3 left?

I'm still in a rut, but I love to check in. I miss crocheting but when I pick it up I just dont want to!!!!

I think it's kid related, they want to do it with me and that doesn't work well too long!

I've done 6-7, hopefully gramma will continue taking them every other weekend and I can find my mojo.

Thank you for keeping this going.

suzidemars,

Welcome back! & Thanks for checking in. That's the nature of a CAL (I think) It's hard to find time - even a few minutes to make a snowflake every week. I was behind by about 5 weeks but made a huge push to get caught up. I'll admit I'm currently running 2 weeks behind again. It gets a little lonely here and that makes it harder to keep current, but I'm determined to catch up again and I'm not going anywhere till I have 52 new patterns. I hope everyone else will continue to contribute when they can and I hope you get your mojo back real soon.

Have a great day and come back again soon,

Hi Suzidemars :)

Yes, we have gone a bit quiet and a bit less on the ball for our weekly posts... I've gotten a bit distracted from my weekly snowflake do, I should probably just commit to doing the weekly snowflake without worrying about catch-up for the moment!

I think some other folks may jump in every now and again as well... hint to those who do - just pop in a hello even if you are lurking rather than working the snowflakes :D... :wave

I think the Northern Hemisphere summer, while amenable to thread work, makes people shy away from snowflakes :):flake:sun:no

Cheers,

Yay! We went on a day trip to the Blue Mountains today and I worked first on edging my filet class final project - ran into a snag (AGAIN! ARGH!) and moved on to snowflakes :):flake

I finished Linda's snowflake (very nice :) for some reason I was stuck on the final round when I first attempted it, :think I don't know what my problem was as I flew through it today. Then I did the poinsettia flake and am currently in progress on the Crystal flake (very cool, I love how she crafted the shape - very different from the normal run of flakies :)...)

Must remember to pack the flake bag when on the move :)...
