Hi Everyone,

I took break from my St Patrick project and noticed there isn't a pattern up for this week. If it's OK I'll be happy to suggest one.

I found this one in a CPC link. I haven't made one yet but it looks fairly easy and (I thought) very pretty. http://hometown.aol.com/stitchvvwitch/page10.html

I will have more time to give to snowflakes after my Irish table topper is done - I had to give it to my sister un-done today for her b-day. I brought it back home after the cake & ice cream - I'm on row 35 and Row 48 is the last - then there are 16 big shamrocks and 12 small irish roses. With a little luck I'll be done by Easter. It's just a good thing we're Irish enough to display this one a little longer than St Patrick's Day!

I'll add a complete list of weeks later this evening when I have more time to double check the links.

Happy Crocheting,

Week #8: http://www.bhg.com/bhg/story.jsp?sto...7884233661.xml (Star Snowflake - third one)

Week #9: http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/o...nowflake.shtml

Thanks, Nancy :) We've had a busy week with my husband in Bangkok Wed - Sun morning, ds's 2nd birthday party Sun afternoon and such :sleep.

It looks beautiful :manyheart, and as a bonus, I don't think I've seen it in my snowflake searches :D... I love new sources - and teamwork!

Can't wait to see piccies of your table topper when it is finished - if you give it to her without photographing it first, I am sure you will have a deputation of C'villers sent after you ;).

Happy :crocheting,

I haven't managed the last two weeks, but hope to catch up when my other time sensitive projects (Easter stuff and doily swap) are completed :D.

Glad you are still popping in, though :)

I haven't done last weeks snowflake yet. It's been a busy week & now Easter weekend & the kids spring break. I'll probably have to do last weeks flake & this upcoming Sunday flake together (if we're having an Easter Sunday one...I can post it if it's ok). Other than that I am staying up with them ok because they're pretty quick. Last weeks flake is big though (7 inches) so it may take me longer to catch up.

Post away, Shell :), that would be great! Wow! 7 inches, maybe this will be one for me to try in a finer thread (so far I've just looked at the pic and printed out the pattern...) I finished my Easter pressies for the kids, so now I just have my doily swap doily to finish and then I'll be back in flake-land :D

Hi everyone,

I'm looking out my window at at least 3" of new snow. It's the Sat before Easter, come on Mother Nature lighten up! I'm looking forward to your snowflake Shell - it's the only snow I'm looking forward to this weekend.

I too have some catching up to do. I have the last three weeks patterns waiting for me. I don't even want to think about the table topper - I feel like I'm stuck in a St Patrick's Day time warp. :clover I'll only say it's the table topper that just won't end.

Hoping for spring, :flower

:dance "Let's do the time warp again..." :dance

:hug No, really, Nancy, I hope your time warp is over soon... :) I am sure that both winter and that table topper will be done with sometime soon! Over here, we are easing into autumn...

Happy Easter, all :) Marika :rabbit

Hi! I was wondering if you all are still doing this. If so what is the pattern for this week? My friend and I made a few snowflakes to give out a couple years ago. They are always fun and fast to make.

Hi Sue,

Yes we are going strong. Welcome! The weeks patterns have been posted on Sunday evenings - so we're all looking forward this weeks now! There are links to all the past weeks throughout the thread. The easiest one to locate is on page one of this thread - post #6 from busy-bee-lmt. And if I haven't already I'd like to say thanks to busy-bee-lmt for keeping us organized.

We're happy to have you along,

Welcome Sue!

Hi all! Sorry I took all day to post the pattern I said I would post for this week. It is on my blog :cheer. I wrote one out last week that I was playing with. It's a very simple starflake. I had another in works for today but one row needs a error fixed. Please let me know if you find any errors in this one.

So here is this weeks snowflake. :)

The only color threads I have ar,he yellow and pink, blue, green, purple variegated. Using yellow for my doilies but could I use the variegated for the snowflakes? I'd be happy to buy white if need be

Sue, there are no rules! Use whatever colour(s) make(s) you happy! :hook If you want white snowflakes, get white... if you want purple variegated, do purple variegated, if you want a rainbow, do a rainbow :D... Frankly, some folks don't even do the posted patterns, we're really pretty much just committed to making snowflakes (on average, one per week :flake) So, kick back, relax and flake out :flake :flake :flake

:P Cheers from a flaky lady,

Suzi, that's pretty funny to think you are making snowflakes in the summer. :flake:sun

I made my first snowflake of the year today. Eventually I'll have to put the picture up.

I think it'd be pretty to use another color than white. I may try that on a few flakes.

I need to go out for more thread soon, I'm almost out! (I'm a yarny crocheter & don't buy much thread)

Hi everyone,

If no one else has a pattern ready to post I'd like to suggest we re-visit sarahanns's page and try #7. The address is http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/snowflakes.html

This one attracted my attention when we were doing # 3 & #4. It has a more "solid" look to it which (I think) makes a nice departure from the more lacy ones. I like variety!

Is anyone with me?
