Lovely work! :blush:c9 thanks

Beautiful snowflakes Shell!

PS. Has anyone volunteered to find a snowflake for this weeK?

I don't think anyone has, I'm happy to post a link if noone else had plans....

Okay, all.

Hi all,

Here are my most recently blocked snowflakes (still running behind, as these are all from weeks 1-6... one of them may not be a CAL flake, but if it is, could you identify it for me?

Hi Marika,

I think we may have a "missing" snowflake. lol I went back through all of our pages here and noticed there may be a discrepency in our list of flakes to date. I can't seem to find the "picot snowflake" http://members.aol.com/_ht_a/lffunt/picsnow.html

or the one I have as #1 -- http://www.angelfire.com/pe/shellangels/Crochet.html - (I had snowflake #1 from there originally but somehow eventually changed that to #3 on that page. --- Wow I may be more confused than ever! lol Have I managed to pass it along? Sorry, when I noticed this I assumed I'd made a mistake but if you go back and look at pictures posted by our "snowflake sisters" there are other snowflakes like your mystery flake. Except for mine which seems to have only four points! lol

I'm working on a snowflake binder that may help me keep track better. It's a three ring binder with clear sheet protectors in it. Each week when I print the new pattern it will go in the binder. The completed snowflake can also go in there both before and after blocking. I hope this will keep them safe till it's time to decorate or send as gifts.

I actually have a binder sleeve with everything in it :think for all the good it does me :lol ... I think the mystery snowflake is week 1 - that would explain others having it and me not having a picture of it as there was no picture of it on the pattern...

Beautiful snowflakes!

I love the binder idea. :clap I need to do that! I am stacking snowflakes & wondering what to do with them until next winter when there will be MANY snowflakes. :lol Keeping them in a binder with the patterns is a wonderful idea if I can get myself organized.

You have my vote Marika. I have one week to get my sister's B-day gift ready then I can contribute more to the snowflakes. Thanks for volunteering!

Post away Marika! :hook

I'll try & go through my bookmarks this week, so I can help with posting snowflakes too.

I got some #5 thread at WM yesterday (the kind with the shiny thread entwined through it) so I'm going to try that on this weeks snowflake. I have been using #3 thread which makes my snowflakes a little larger than normal because of my chronic tendinitis but I am hoping my wrist is getting used to thread again by doing snowflakes every week.

No worries, Nancy :) I can imagine you are a bit overwhelmed with thread with that lovely cloth. I can't wait to see the finished product :cheer

Shell, that sounds great. I hope the #5 works well for you and doesn't cause a flare-up - though it doesn't matter what size you're using, we're just happy to have you along for the ride :manyheart... It'll be great to have you in on the posting crew - I love picking them, but it is great to see the different ones different people find and even within the same choices, which ones different folk pick :)

I'll pick and post in a few hours (between 6 and 10 EST). Cheers!

Howdy folks!

Week 10 snowflake is the Retro Inspired Crocheted Snowflake from BHG. Be aware there is an error in the pattern - it does not give instructions for making the starting ring. I did "Chain 10 and slip stitch into first chain to form a ring." to start it off.

Updated list:

Week #1: http://www.angelfire.com/pe/shellangels/Crochet.html(Snowflake 1) (NB: Round 3 correction - "dlst" should read "sl st".)

Week #2: http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/snowflakes.html (Snowflake Pattern #3)

Week #3: http://the-crocheted-bookmark.blogspot.com/2006/12/snowflakes.html

Week #4: http://susaninstitches.blogspot.com/2007/11/free-crochet-pattern-southern-snowfake.html

Week #5: http://www.sarahanns.com/crochetworks/snowflakes.html (Snowflake Pattern #4)

Week #6: http://karpstyles.com/crochet/snow.html

Week #7: http://marikamum.blogspot.com/2008/02/irish-rose-snowflake.html

Week #8: http://www.bhg.com/bhg/story.jsp?storyid=/templatedata/bhg/story/data/1187884233661.xml (Star Snowflake - third one)

Week #9: http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/ornaments/f103016prettysnowflake.shtml

Week #10: http://www.bhg.com/bhg/story.jsp?storyid=/templatedata/bhg/story/data/1187200352640.xml(NB: Chain 10 and sl st into first chain to form ring to start snowflake.)

:lol I'd show you the one I've already done, but it has seven branches... :eek OOPS! :rofl So, I'll be :crocheting along with y'all!

Cheers,

Hi Ladies! I said I'd join a few weeks ago, but time has gotten away from me lately! I finally found some time, so I've completed #8 an #10. They aren't stiffened yet, but here they are. Just wanted to let you know I'm here, and am loving this CAL!
