This is the place online I found but my local Hobby Lobby is starting to carry more and more colors.

Hobby Lobby carries a nylon thread made by Omega under the trade name "Hilos La Espiga". It is exactly the same as the Coats and Clark but comes in many more colors, bright yellows, greens, pinks, etc. It also is 197 yards per spool instead of 150 yards for the Coats & Clark. I use it quite a bit and it is a great product.

Wow!! That is "tres jolie"!! Quite attractive and looks like it can be used for dressier occassions. Where do you get your cording?? I can't find much around Florida, unless it's at Home Dept!!:think

I'm also in search of nylon cording. I went to Home Depot but all they had was white and some day-glo colors... no black, which is what I am looking for.

I made one, too!

I used some nylon cording that I got at the site I mentioned in my previous post: CrochetStyleEtc.com

Thank you for sharing the pattern! I made this for my DD (she picked out the colors!) and she loves it! :hook

To prevent the wrist strap from being overly stretched when the bag is full, I pasted a non elastic skirt waistband behind my white wrist strap. Works wonders and the strap will not lengthen too much by the additional weight in the bag.
