Lantern Potholder (From a Vintage Pattern)

I think this is too cool, and I just HAD to share! I just completed this lantern potholder tonight.

I used size 10 thread, and a Boye 7 hook.

Mother had two of these in her kitchen. They were so cute. Just the other day I found the pattern in a really old crochet book and thought, I think I will make one or two.

Thanks, everyone for the comments! I wanted to make potholders, and ran out of cotton yarn! I have had the pattern bookmarked for ages, it uses cotton thread, so I decided to finally make it.
