Jeannie sorry if that didnt sound right. Of course I care if the colors run or not. Not sure what I was trying to say but I will make sure I get yarns that are not likely to run.

This dishcloth I am making I will see how big it turns out but if its less than 7 inches I will redo it. I really like the pattern so I will make it bigger.

OK, well I *know* you guys won't want to hear about this, but my DH took me and the kids out to dinner tonight. It was a great idea, but halfway there, we pass this car with this guy in it, and all he was wearing were Wonder Woman pattern underwear and the knee-high gold boots. Even had the cuff-links on, but no chest piece. The tiara sat askew on his head, and beside him in the seat was this raccoon! Now this raccoon had his tail taped straight out with duct tape, but he didn't seem to mind that fact. Hmmm. guy in WW outfit, raccoon with a duct-taped tail. (?) So I tell my DH about this, just as this guy's front tire gets a flat and he starts driving all over the place... blue smoke coming out his back end (the car, not the raccoon - I think the duct tape covered his emissions area)...

DH, ever the kind guy, pulls over to the side of the road when the guy hops out of his car (hence I know about the gold go-go boots) with his WW outfit on, to inspect the damage. He opens up the trunk and instead of a car jack, he's got boxes full of Viagra. Fortunately, I can affirm that he had not TAKEN ANY (get your mind out of the gutter, the boxes were ALL sealed, THAT is how I KNOW!). So, as DH helps him change the tire, the raccoon gets out of the car and asks my husband if he knows the way to Punksatawny.

This is, of course, the point where I woke up!

:rofl :rofl :rofl

That was so funny and you really had me there. I was at the point of believing it. Im so gullible.

I am making my cloths each a different pattern and color...they will be the size they come out. Hopefully it will be the right size, but I make no guarantees because if I frog anymore the bullfrog down the bank will start getting ideas...and Lea's groundhog was bad enough, I know I don't want the bullfrog up here.

Morning Wendy

I think I'll make different sizes and colors and shapes. They don't all have to be exactly the same size, so don't worry a lot about the gauge .

I made 65 of them for our reunion this year to pass out to the ladies and I used several different patterns .They all turned out around the same size, but not exact so it won't matter too much about that .

Have you been able to find a good selection of cotton over there ? We don't have a real great one at walmart, but I have several colors . I guess today I will get started on mine.

I printed off several patterns ,so not sure yet what all ones I'll do .

Hope you had a good day today . :)

Hi Julie yes I had a good day at work. Just had tea and now Im making a dishcloth while I wait for my soapies to start.

Im using the pattern Chain Stitch Face Cloth which is quite easy to do. But I guess after awhile its going to get boring.

Julie how long did it take you to make 65 dishcloths. Great idea though I bet they all loved them.

I might continue with them after this and make some for xmas.

Well,let's see Wendy -

It'd be hard to say exactly how long it took to make that many since I started them way back last summer sometime and worked on them a little at a time. They have been done for several months and packed away waiting to bring them down there last week .

Yea, the ladies all liked them a lot . I usually try to make some doodad of some type every year as a little souvenier of the reunion. I made Christmas ornaments for about 10 years straight, but decided to make something new for this past year.

I don't know yet what I'll make for next year. That's a long ways off right now and I have had so much other stuff going on in the past week or 2 I really havent given it much thought just yet .

Hopefully things will quiet down soon .

I like BORING .

Is everyone making just square ones?

Mine are all square. Ish. I like playing with textures :yes

Julie I notice that you now live in Greenacres. Wasnt there a show called that.

Well I was supposed to be making dishcloths but instead I have been looking for photos and now my shows Heroes, Prisonbreak and 24 are on.

Julie how many photos do you want us to send and do you want us to write on the back the info from the photo. Is everyone getting photos printed or just printing them on paper.

I was wondering the same thing. I had planned on taking them to that machine at WalMart and having reprints done or, if I can talk DH into a new printer then run them on photo paper. That way you don't have to worry with sending them back :D

Me too. I don't want you (Julie) to have to send everything back at the end. It would be a shame to disassemble the whole book.

Good morning by the way:) . I didn't get anymore discloths made last night - I had a headache from 12:30 (noon) until I went to bed. Unfortunately this is a regular occurrence for me - anyway - I'm going to start in on my dishcloths as soon as I get off the computer this morning. I'm making different patterns, colors, and shapes. I don't have the attention span to make too many of the same thing. ;)

Hi Guys

As for the picture questions, you asked at the right time !

I am so excited. I found the MOST PERFECT album this morning to do this with . I had planned before to use a 3 ring binder type setup with photo pages in it, and already had been working on it .

Well today, I found the neatest album -- it has slots for each photo and a small area beside each photo to write who or what it is .

I went to walmart and got reprints made to put in mine so they won't need returned if the book doesn't happen to end up back here or gets lost in the mail someplace .

So, if you all wouldn't mind, pictures would be fine, printed out on your computers or regular old picture reprints, whatever you have .

The only thing I THINK I may do a little differently is the questionnaire .

I still plan on using them, but I think I'll get some type of recipe cards to fill in on the backs of your picture pages that will have all your answers to the questions .

That way, we will only have one album to keep track of rather than the photo album plus a binder with the question sheets in it .

Any other questions, just let me know . :)

I actually think this is gonna work guys, and I think it may be one of the best ideas yet ! :yay

Still waiting to hear from a few more people. As of now we have 11 definite yes's .

So anyone who is on a roll and has lots of dishcloths done, I'll try to keep you guys updated with a running talley here.

I have 5 more people I am waiting to hear from .

Oh and by the way, someone asked if I could put up a list of names and states where the people will be from, so I will put that on page 1 so you have a list .

Wendy - I love Heroes! I so hope they bring it back next year! I used to watch Prison Break too, but usually only during lunch breaks at school. One of they guys would record it so we could watch it, but he's in Arizona now.

Julie - That album sounds great. I was wondering what you were going to be using.

As for the dishcloths...I have 6 finished. One is circular and kinda large, the rest are square and vary in sizes. It's a lot of fun to make these because they seem to go pretty quickly...no where near as long as the first one I ever tried making, back when I started getting into crocheting again. (I'll have to find it and show a pic).

Thanks guys

and yes, I truly believe that the album was laying there waiting on me. It is actually all done up in a TRAVEL theme -- has bumper sticker type doodads on it . ( Looks like an old fashioned TRUNK .. you know like people used to put their travel stickers on ?)

I even found some neat matching stickers that have travel-type things that will match the book exactly .

ANYBODY WANNA SNEAK PEEK AT THE COVER ????

Just a little teaser .......................:D

Charlene - what part of PA are you in?

Kathy - what part of Jersey are you from?

Just want to make sure I don't overlap much with either since I kinda live in both states. PA is my home state so I know much more about it, but I technically live in NJ.
