cold shoulders from the HH

Hi all,

 

This is my first try at the cold shoulders caplet from the HH book. /i find mohair a little itcy, so i subsituted the yarn with a cream aran yarn and a size 6 mm hook. when i took the pic I hadnt finished the pompoms! I really apreciate any comments and thank you in advance!

Your version is so much more romantic than the one in the book. I love the color, and the fact that you can see the lace pattern. If I were you, I wouldn't use the pom-poms; I would make a tassle, or use beads, or something more dressy. You did a beautiful job.

I think it's pretty and I love the color choice. I think it looks better without pom poms but then again I'm not a pompom fan.

Anyone over the age of 6 wearing pompoms is a no-go in my book, but that is just me. But I think something delicate is totally more appropriate for your lovely shawl! Delicate and sparkly, for sure.
