How old are they

umm I am not real sure. My great gma would have been 99 this march sooo umm my guess is probably way over 60-80 years old. My mom had then in a large box with linens her other aunts and Gmas made.

There are some beautiful beautiful hand made but dont look hand made creations in there. All mom can remember is Great Great gma made it while they were still living in Germany.

Those are really great...Must have taken time and its great that someone took thetime to care for them so they werent eaten by bugs or anything like that. I love them both...Makes me want to go buy some thread, and do up a doily.

there were some patterns written in my great gmas handwritting that mom gave me but I have not went thru them all yet.

Very pretty. Sometimes I think we modern crocheters (or any crafter...) have lost something. I mean, how many of us really do anything _that_ intricate with thread? I know I shy away from anything below a D hook. I guess because a lot of times we make things we want, instead of what we need and that since not everyone can do it, we don't have to work that hard to be impressive. (Sorry, don't mind me... I'm having a Monday... )

I agree, the 8-point would make a wonderful afghan and the triangle would make a most marvelous shawl. It is wonderful they've been preseverd so well
