I actually did something a bit different with this one...I made it with a size "F" hook so that it would turn out SMALLER, and it worked wonderfully!!!

I totally hated that stitch, so I just made mine with plain ole hdc, and crocheted in the back loop only. I like the way it came out, butI need to take it apart to line it, and then re-attach the handle flaps.

Oh, you people are MUCH too kind!!! Yes, that half herringbone stitch, or whatever it is called is a DOOZY but I don't know, it gives the bag a certain look.

 

Whoever hasn't gotten this book yet, GET IT! This pattern alone is worth it's price!
