My first & second doilies... ever!

That makes it sound like I've found some long lost trove of doilies. But, really, I'm just kind of new to doilies and a bit slack on posting pictures.

The left is called "Hospitality" and was my first doily. My second doily, on the right, was for GoldKeeper in the Doily Swap and is called "Grapes Galore". Both were made with DMC Baroque in ecru (about 350 yards each), and both took nearly 100 pins to block - each! (but, then, I am also new to blocking and am somewhat anal about such things).

There's a bit more and some full pics at my blog.

The first one is my favorite. Where did you find the pattern?

Thank you! I ran downstairs and rooted around, then back upstairs to the craft room, then through a box that I thought the book might be in and...

... I just don't know! I think I loaned it out.

I can tell you that it was from a booklette (one of those 1/2 page sized booklets), that I bought it at Ben Franklin's, and that the pattern was by Dot Drake (I do believe). If I get my hands on the book again I'll post the name and a link if I can find it.
