Oh my gosh, you are so not alone. Right now I'm making a pair of socks to give to my grandfather for Christmas, a blanket for an animal shelter, and I just started a purse yesterday. Plus, I'm going to be making my grandmother some bath stuff for Christmas. Btw, I have ADD, and no, the meds don't help ease the crochet obsession. ;)

Yep, I know how you feel! Right now I've got a beaded shawl, a pair of socks, two thread bookmarks, some dish scrubbies, some dish cloths (and I'm sure there's something I'm forgetting) in progress. I eventually get them done (and most of these have a holiday deadline), but some days it feels like I start a thousand things at once :crochet and never finish them!

Let's seeeeeeee.... usually I only have one or two projects at a time, but Christmas is coming...

1. Granny Square pillow sample for a class I am teaching in the winter

2. Poncho for me (which will get done whenever)

3. Wrap for mom*

4. Afghan for brother's fiancee**

5. Fun Fur scarves for 4 people (sister, 2 neices and sister-in-law)*

Then there's the jewelry gifts for my MIL, grandmother, and SIL, beaded ornaments for mom and MIL as well as "random" gifts... and I'm sure other stuff will come up as the holidays draw nearer... I just hope I survive.

* - buying yarn for these projects Friday with 30% Jo-Ann employee discount coupon

** - hoping to win ebay auction for yarn for this project to save money (back off the 6-skein auction for Navajo Homespun, please! Thanks! LOL! )

Well I guess I'm not alone :D

Allthough all of you seem like you're ok with it , it drives me nuts:help :loco I would rather finish 1 thing then start on something else. Plus I think hubby's finally starting to notice I buy yarn and then put it away and go buy more. How long can I hide my obsession, or maybe he knew all along :oops :thinking1

Maybe a good New Years resolution would be to finish 1 thing before I buy more yarn and start another :thinking1 :ideanot

I'm right there along with everyone else! Especially the yarn obsession - My hubby keeps saying he's buying me some kind of storage thing to put in the guest room closet for all my yarn..

as far as projects I have going:

afghan for MIL

afghan for GIL

afghan for hubby's aunt

scarf, hat and glove set for hubby's cousin

felted purse for sister (just needs handles)

book cover (also just needs handles)

and a couple of surprises for my secret pal.

Course, all I want to do when I get home is start on some gloves for myself so my hands don't freeze when I take the dog out for a walk! Which is not good considering I made myself a poncho and a hat while I was home after my surgery. :faint .

Think I may have to force myself to use that rotation technique. That way, things will get done, and I don't get bored with each project I'm working on...

Well, most of you have me beat! My problem is that I get on here and see something I want to make and start it! So right now I have:

*hats/mittens for homeless shelter

*punk wrist warmers for daughter

*mittens/scarf for christmas gift

*snowflakes

*purse for dd (just made her 1 last week & she wants another)

I think that's it! Just wish I could crochet while running my errands today! Dar

Hi. It's a law that us crafters have to be making more than one project at a time otherwise the craft police will be after us.

Right now I am working on a firehat ornament, two afghans, hats and scarf sets, a couple of pillows, headbands, just to start out with.

Have fun and happy crocheting.

Oh, Rascal, I *know* about getting on here and finding new patterns that suddenly interupt the process of your current project! I'm in the same boat with:

1. a bunch of flower pins for presents and an order

2. a looooong scarf for my MIL

3. 10 (!) belts for local bellydancers (and that includes the crochet, adding of fringe, jingly bits, feathers, tassels, etc)

4. Cat toys for my children (I'm trying to do felted catnip mice)

5. 1 fuzzy fox scarf for my friend's mom

6. 1 fuzzy raccoon scarf for my friend's friend

7. crochet beaded cuff for my mom

8. crocheted hair decorations for my friends

(9) someday actually posting pictures of what I get done!

Holy cow! I just realized I need to get off the computer and get to work LOL

lets see....

1. my daughters lap-granny-ghan that is my original project (just 1/2 skein of main colour and then a skein of contrast colour left to go)

2. I'm on number 5 of 7 hats i'm making for Christmas

3. A poncho, hat and matching purse (already finished)

4. 3 hats that weren't for Christmas (already finished)

5. 3 doilys for Christmas (2 already finished)

I sort of use my little projects between working on the afghan for my daughter, to keep me from getting bored with it and never finishing it. after her afghan, i have one for my younger son planned, and i'm going to work all year long on stuff for Christmas next year LOL<img border=0 src="http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v84/crochetville/help.gif" />

Well, I've not totally updated lately, but right now Danielle and I (Oh Thank God for sisters) Are making the Ho Ho Ho hats for the entire Thompson family! That's 24 hats! (Now, there are three dogs as well, but we'll see) Thanks Dot! (Seriously, they are very cute and I have them up to sell as well)

So, need to finishe those. And I"m now at the last minute trying to make some socks for three other people. And then I realeized that I have to finish my shirt to wear on Christmas!

Oh, the double oven is coming in tomorrow! (We're redoing our kitchen) So maybe I can make Christmas cookies after all!

(Another side note, I sold an instock afghan! WooHoo!)

Merry Christmas!

My turn!

Crochet projects:

baby afghan

2 more pairs of flip top mittens

shawl

slippers

scarf (totally should've been done with this by now)

Sewing projects:

hoodie

fleece poncho

baby blankets

messenger bag

I am the worst at starting projects and not finishing them. Although when it comes to making the things I sell I can finish, but personal projects always get put aside or I find another thing I wanna try out.

Goal in new year to finish a project before starting another and to finish off my yarn/fabric stash before buying new stuff.
