My first-ever Pineapple Rug Doily

Well after seeing Angie's beautiful rug doily I had to go and make one for myself....well actually, I gave it to my mom. This is the first ever rug doily (or rug for that matter) that I've ever made. I used regular worsted weight yarn in Red Heart 'Monet' and a size 'P' hook. It worked up really quick and is pretty thick. I used 2 strands held together instead of the 3 the pattern called. I forgot to measure mine, but it is pretty big. I guess I was in too big of a hurry to give it to my mom to see her reaction.

Thanks for the replies everyone. My mom told me she wouldn't dream of putting it on the floor! She draped it over the back of her couch. She said she didn't want to get it dirty!

so pretty! I used a coaster pattern once for a bathmat (2 strands of ww cotton and a big hook, I forget which one, N maybe?). I love how yours turned out. I think I may just have to make another one now
