A friend is moving into a new home next month and I wanted to send a welcoming gift. Here is the granny ripple afghan in red heart yarn. I love how the colors work in the pattern.

eyenowhour - yes, it is a varigated yarn between the country blue stripes. it is called wedgewood and contains the country blue, country rose and soft white

Great afghan. My eyes were very intrigued by the effect it has. The granny and the ripple. I have never seen one like this before.

Wow, that's beautiful! I love the 'country' colors. It almost reminds me of a jigsaw puzzle. I've never seen that pattern before. Great job! p.s. Here's a hint: keep fingernail clippers nearby to cut your yarn with. No worries about leaving scissors lying around..... I've done this for years. I even tied one on my tote bag, using a long piece of yarn, that way, when I need to cut something, it will reach pretty far, and they don't get lost in the bottom of the bag. I found some on the clearance aisle at Walmart for ten cents each! I bought a whole handful, that way I can easily find one - in my tote bag, purse, car, etc...
