Hello all,

My name is Josie Dinwiiddie and I thought I should do a little introduction about myself. I live in Harrison, Tennessee which is about a 10-15 minute drive from Chattanooga. I'm 39 years young and married to a wonderful man that i met online. We just celebrated our 1st anniversary on August 21st. My husband is into computers, anime and building models. I thought it would be a great idea to get him a model for our anniversary so I went to Hobby Lobby. Unfortunately, I didn't find a model that I liked. What I did find was a Learn to Crochet kit with a book and a few hooks on sale. I had never crocheted before but the book looked interesting and it was really inexpensive. I grabbed the book and a couple of skeins of yarn and home I went. Now, almost two months later and I'm thoroughly hooked:) pun intended lol. So far I've made 4 scarfs, a baby scarf for a teddy bear, a pretty afghan, and some finger puppets for my nephew. I've managed to pick up a huge stash of yarn by buying off eBay as well as a nice collection of hooks. My husband has been very supportive and each week we go to the craft store to buy me more supplies to add to my collection. We have a great used book store near us that I took a bunch of old romance books to and traded them in for several crochet and craft books. I'm disabled from a back injury, so I cant work, instead you'll find me on the couch crocheting or at my computer looking at crochet websites for patterns and tutorials. I created a bookmark page for all the cool sites I've found regarding crochet, you can view by going to http://www.myhq.com/public/j/o/josykatz/ i spent several days and many hours getting it organized. I grabbed a bunch of links from other bookmark holders so there may be some that are dead. Another favorite site that i go to is http://www.stitchguide.com/index.html when i come across a stitch in in a pattern that i don't know i look it up here. I've joined several crochet groups and I'm really glad that I have. I have learned much more about crochet then i ever would have on my own or from books. I've also created a blog and your welcome to check it out http://josiecrochets.blogspot.com/2005/09/here-is-afghan-for-angel-finished-with.html I guess that is it, Happy Crocheting and look forward to getting to know you all.

Hugs,

Josie Dinwiddie
