Thanks, Kathy The flower is a hibiscus....the petals are all made seperately and then the stamen is sewed through all 5 petal centers....I found the pattern on Ravelry.

 

The flip flops I just did off the top of my head, had to frog a few times on the straps before I got them right, lol!
