    Tiny Snowflakes (2in)

Here are 4 tiny snowflakes I created, NOT made with thread! I used white baby yarn and an E crochet hook. They measure 1.75-2 inches from corner to corner. Starting with the snowflake on the top left and working right: A: 1. Ch 4, sl st to first ch. 2. Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc 3. *Ch 5, sl st in 2nd & 3rd cos from hook, (ch 2, sl st in 2nd & 3rd chs from hook) x2, sl st in 2nd ch of ch 5, sl st in next sc* x6. End off. B: 1. Ch 4, sl st to 1st ch. 2. *Ch 5, sl st in ch 4 ring* x6 3. sl st in 1st ch 5 space, *ch 4, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, ch 2, sl st in next ch 5 sp* x6. End off. C: 1. Ch 4, sl st to 1st ch. 2. Ch 1, 6 sc in ring, sl st in 1st sc. 3. *Ch 4, sl st in 2nd, 3rd, & 4th cos from hook, sl st in same sc, ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in next sc* x6. End off. D: 1. Ch 4, sl st to 1st ch. 2. *Ch 5, sl st in 2nd & 3rd cos from hook, (ch 2, sl st in 2nd & 3rd chs from hook) x2, sl st in 2nd & 1st chs of ch 5, sl st in ch 4 ring* x6. End off. Rainbow Dash cutie mark

My 4.5 year old daughter LOVES Rainbow Dash from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic. She "flies" everywhere she goes and folds her arms up at her side when she is still. She refers to herself only as Rainbow Dash and she makes lots of pony sounds. I've never seen her do stuff like this, to this grand of a scale! Its so cute! While crocheting one day, I had the bright idea of crocheting a cutie mark for her. I added a safety pin to the back and now she wears it all the time (on her "flank" of course!). Here is the result...

    Chicken Coasters

This is the first time I have created something! I did use some bits of ideas from other patterns but I hope this means I am maturing enough in my crocheting to soon make my own entirely new creation. I used the wings and comb (the red part on the head) from this pattern http://us.mg5.mail.yahoo.com/dc/launch?.gx=1&.rand=0abdc404gdmlo and the feet from this pattern http://www.crochetville.org/forum/register.php?do=addmember (I have full permission from both people. Thanks moonglow and Cylinda Matthews! ). Here is the pattern... Chicken Coasters Materials: *Small amounts of yarn in body and wing color (white, brown, black, orange, red, tan, whatever), yellow or orange, red, and black *Sewing thread in yellow or orange (to match the beak color) *Crochet hook size G *Tapestry needle *Sewing needle Body: With body color, Ch 4, sl st in first ch to form a ring. Round 1 (right side): Ch 3, 12 dc in ring. Join with sl st. Rnd 2: Ch 3, dc in same stitch, 2 dc in next dc around. Join with sl st. Rnd 3: Ch 3, dc in same stitch, (1 dc in next stitch, 2 dc in next stitch) around, 1 dc in last stitch. Join with sl st. Rnd 4: Ch 3, dc in same stitch, (1 dc in next 2 stitches, 2 dc in next stitch) around, 1 dc in last 2 stitches. Join with sl st. Fasten off and weave in ends. Wings: With body color and right side facing, join yarn to whichever dc on the body you want, (ch 7, sl st in same stitch) three times. Fasten off and weave in ends. For second wing, repeat process on opposite side of the chicken. Comb: With red, join yarn to top of body, (ch 4, sl st in same stitch) three times. Fasten off and secure ends. Feet: With orange or yellow and right side facing, join yarn to a dc at bottom of body; * ch 5, sl st in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, (ch 2, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sl st in same ch on beg ch 5) twice, sl st in last 2 chs of beg ch 5, sl st in same st on body, * sl st in next dc on body; rep from * to * once. Fasten off and secure ends. Beak: With orange or yellow, ch 3, sc in second and third ch, ch 1 and turn. Work a sc dec in the two sc (insert hook into first st, draw up a loop, insert hook into second st, draw up a look, yo and draw through both loops). Fasten off. Using sewing thread and needle, attach the beak to the center of the body or where ever you would like. I sewed the yarn ends under the beak to secure them. Eyes: With black yarn and a tapestry needle, stitch on the eyes where ever and however you like. Secure ends. You now have a cute little chicken coaster! You may copy this pattern for personal use only. You can do whatever you like with the finished products except for sell them on etsy.com. Thank you and enjoy!

Granny squares 2nd annual Happy Birthday Friendship/Comfortghan

Hi! Today is my birthday! I had a wonderful day. My girls wanted to take me out for dinner, so we went to Applebees and went to Sweet Frog for dessert. I guess my diet went out the window today. Haha! I have some squares here to mail out. I've just been a bit of a bum lately. My medication has exacerbated my depression and anxiety. It makes it hard for me to do anything. I think of you all.

I got a puffy today! Yay! It's from Katy ???? Sorry I'm gone so much. I've been struggling with some health issues and taking care of my girls and home are taking up all my available energy. I do think of you ladies often. I hope all is well. I better get going. Dinner isn't going to cook itself, unfortunately. Haha!

Nothing really exciting during our snow storm. My oldest didn't have school on Fri because of it. ONE inch of snow! Haha! It's so funny to see everyone freak out over snow here. We did end up with 2 inches on Sat and the roads were a bit swishy to drive on. Again, EVERYTHING closed!

Owlvamp--are you only able to check in on here when you are on the network, not wifi? Somehow, my IP address got blocked and I can't access this site from my iPad or my laptop. I can only access from my phone when it's not connected to my wifi at home.

I'm here! I haven't been able to log on since the New Year. It was so strange. My Internet went all weird and then I couldn't access this site AT ALL ever since. I finally figured out a way to contact someone from Crochetville and now Amy Shelton is helping me out. It looks like my IP address was accidently blocked! All this time, all I had to do was log in while on the network, not on my wifi at home. Ugh! So, here I am, eating up my data for you ladies We are all okay. It looks like the baby and I have suddenly become lactose intolerant. I can't even have chocolate! Waaaah! My husband is putting in for a supervisor position. That would mean a $10k a year pay increase, at least. Woot! The weather here is crazy. 60 deg one day, snowing the next. It's currently raining/sleeting/snowing, all at once. Gotta go. I'll look at who is getting squares this month and get hooking. Yay! I can't wait!

    Tiny snowflake ornaments

My bff loves snowflakes, so I made a couple to sew on to the phone pouch I crocheted for her. I couldn't find patterns for small enough ones, so I made my own! After making the pouch, I designed a couple more, and decided to turn them into tiny ornaments for her tree. I haven't added thread yet (I can't find my darn clear thread; maybe I'll settle for white). I'll post a pattern for the flakes here on Crochetville, but no promises on how soon These are made with baby yarn and a size E hook. They measure 1.75 - 2 inches.

Our black hole has swallowed up a watch, mancala bead (lost in the same location as the above watch), electronic key fob, iPod (though it showed back up a year later in a spot we searched FOUR times!), and my favorite tapestry needle (a long metal one) These are things that went missing with no explanation. They're last known location was explicitly known and wasn't messed with. Extensive searching, and even moving from the house, didn't turn them up. I did find my tank top though. It was under my bathroom sink. ??? All I can think is that the baby put it there. Toddlers. I have several graphgan patterns that I want to make, but I've been too nervous to give it a try. I don't know anyone,in person, that is a more advanced crocheter than I, to walk me through it. Pineknott, do you know how to make a graphgan?

I posted the patterns for my tiny snowflakes! I'm so bummed. I lost my favorite tank top (yes, its warm enough for that! Ha!). I've looked EVERYWHERE for it, including places that don't make sense. We have a black hole that follows us around. I'm guessing it's claimed another victim.

Miss Katy, you are already on top of things. I'm already on first page, under April. I'll pm you my addy though. I haven't done that yet. Dh's eye is MUCH better. Still a teensy bit blurry, and it gets tired a little easy, but he's not in world's of pain anymore. Baby and I are feeling better too.

Granny squares 2nd annual Happy Birthday Friendship/Comfortghan

I have no idea why it works, but unplugging and then plugging back in works! I did that this morning with our Apple TV. My girls thought I was crazy, but I was like "trust me!". And it worked. Dh's eye is getting better. He's no longer in pain, but his vision is still blurry. As for me, I slept most of the day. I feel a little better right now, but I'll see how I feel in the morning. The baby was in slightly better spirits today. The weather HAS been crazy! My mom had a tornado touch down near her (IL). Some families lost everything. So sad. And there was a weird flash of light there that everyone is taking about (not related to the tornado). One of our friends in the area says it's aliens. Lol!

The baby and I aren't feeling well today. Blah. And it's dh's birthday today. I wanted to take his car out to be detailed, as a gift, but I haven't been able to peel myself off the couch.
