New filet finishes

It's been awhile since I posted. I've recently moved so didn't really have time for crocheting very much. I have managed to finish a couple of projects during the last couple of months though.

X-mas present for my best friend that I finally found again after 14 years

The two small ones only took a couple of hours each. The long one with the face at the top took about a day (started late one night and finished it the next day). The big one for my friend took about a month but I moved when it was about half way done so that added alot of days to it. And the griffin one my husband picked out for me to work up so I ended up giving it to him for X-mas (since the present I ordered for him was shipped to the wrong address and I still don't have it).

I'm currently working on a grapevine table runner for my aunt and uncle. It's narrow but really long. We'll see how fast that one goes.

I love your work, I would love to have the pattern for the small one on top....looks like a snowflake, I have been looking for a snowflake pattern like that, can you share where you found the pattern? Thanks so much for sharing

Those are public Facebook links. Anyone can see them unless Facebook is completely blocked on your computer.

All these patterns came from a book called No.2 Patterns Filet Lace from Le Filet Ancien au point de reprise nos 1 & 2 from Lacis Publications (it's the one with the green cover). Theres some instructions in the front of the book but that is for doing the patterns as filet lace (pre-done netting and then you stich the designs into the net). But as long as you know how to figure a starting chain, they are perfect for filet crochet. I've got another of these books that I just did a table runner from. It's got an orange cover and it's called No 1 Patterns Filet Lace from Collection "Recko" Grand Album de modeles pour Filet nos 1 & 2 also from Lacis Publications. My Mom bought these books a long time ago but I don't know where she found them. I have seen them for sale on the web but I can't remember where I saw them.
