This was a "Free Pattern of the Day" from Annie's Attic that was offered back in December, titled 'Kid's Carryalls' designed by Michele Wilcox. It included two patterns, this one and one with a bear in a tub full of bubbles.

 

Yarns used were mostly scraps from my stash.

did you just wrap yarn around a cicle to get the yarn balls? I don't like the way mine turned out. I am currently working on my handbag, just got to do the other side of the bag and attach everthing. razzledazzledaze@comcast.net

No, the circle is sewn to the bag and then with matching yarn you use long, straight stitches to embroider the ball to look like wound up yarn.
