The Ripple Afghan I rescued....

Recommended Posts

I went to a consignment shop today and found this afghan there. It was 2.49 but wednesday is half off and I got it for 1.25. Can you believe that. I thought I would rescue it and give it a home.

How pretty. I plan to make myself a ripple as soon as my skills are up to par. My grandmother had an enormous blue and gold ripple on the sofa in her den for as long as I can remember and since she's my inspiration for starting crochet it's definitely something I want to do.

Very pretty! It always makes me sort of sad to see crocheted things at flea markets/thrift stores etc....I made my daughter PROMISE not to put my crocheted stuff in a flea market when I'm gone....she's going to keep it all. In fact, although she's only 12, she once rescued a doily from a yard sale at our church!

Thank you for recuing that beauty indeed!! You got a GREAT rescue there!!!

We should start a crochet rescue group like they have for the dogs and stuff!!

It's very pretty! And you can't beat the price! But most importantly, someone's hard work and love went into making it, and now it has a home where it will be appreciated. :)
