'Jocelyn' Caplet (without Roses)

I recently got this pattern from Annie's Attic (on sale at half price now!).

 

It says it only takes 3-4 ozs. of Caron's 'Simply Soft'.... I think she meant skeins instead of ounces!!

 

I didn't like the opening, so I closed it. And I also didn't care for the roses either.

 

I added a long chain and added it around the neckline.

Very beautiful! How did you close that opening and keep the pattern in order? I'd love to make this. I don't care for the roses on it either. I like yours so much better than the original pattern.....yours is stunning!
