  3. I just had to try this shawl, I had a rocky start but loved how it turned out. Please forgive the horrible lighting, I just couldn't wait to daylight. This took 2 skiens of Sashay.   6. Winging it can be fun and it has it's drawbacks too. When its time to figure out what went wonky there's no pattern to refer to. My advice is to always keep notes of what you're doing.

  13. Leftover lace weight yarn and too much time on my hands makes for a nice gift. Presenting Very Ladylike Wrist warmers/cuffs thingies. Materials: 1 Knit picks Paint Your Own Lace Weight Approx 880 yards. E/3.5mm hook One size Stitches used: Sl st, Ch, Dc, Fpdc, Bpdc and 3dc cluster. Guage: 6 sts and 11 rows in Fpdc, Bpdc rib = 4 inches Front Post Stitch (FPST) = Yarn over, insert hook from the front side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row; YO and pull up a loop (3 lps on hk), (YO and draw through 2 lps) 2X. Back Post Stitch: (bpst) = Yarn over, insert hook from the back side of the work right to left around the post of the indicated stitch on a previous row; YO and pull up a loop (3 lps on hk) YO and draw through two lops (2 X) 3Dc Cluster: (3Dc Cl) = Work a dc into each of the next 3 stitches leaving the last loop of each on the hook. Yarn over and draw through all loops on hook. Ch 40, join with a sl stitch being careful not twist. Ch 3 (at this and the end of every row.) Row 1: Dc in each ch to end of row, (skipping over 3ch) join to first dc with a sl st. Row 2: *Work Fpdc in next 2 sts, Bpdc in next 2 sts,* Rep from * to * end of row, join to first dc with a sl st.   15. I had some lace yarn left over from another project and started playing around then came up with this! Its a free pattern I will post when I figure out where to put it on crochetville, but it's already on my blog.
