wash/dishcloths and hyperbolic bath puffs

I made these for Christmas presents. The yellow, green, and orange are size 5 thread, and the lavender is Creme de la Creme by Coats and Clark (which I liked working with a lot better than Peaches and Cream because it seemed quite a bit softer and just easier to crochet with).

Pattern for the cloths is here http://bloomingpatterns.blogspot.com/2008/04/little-starbursts-dishcloth.html

I really like the way the pattern worked up.

There is no pattern for the puffs; I started with a ring of chain 6, then did about 15 sc into the ring, then did several rounds of 3 dc in every stitch. I sewed a couple of stitches into the center to keep it bunched up.

I agree, the edging really makes them look great. It's a great example of a simple pattern that is very satisfying to do. :hook

(By "simple" I mean it's not hard to manipulate the thread, it has its own rhythm, and shows off the stitches--kind of an example of some of the qualities I like best about crochet.)
