Yup - those are both Bostons. They even both started out as mine. Mom kept the older one when I grew up and moved away. He's 15 and Pooky is 2.

Well, I was going to kid you and ask how you made those dogs so life-like. Then I saw your doilies. They are just gorgeous and the multicolor one looks almost 3-dimensional. So I will just behave myself and tell you that I admire your work.

You do beautiful work! LOL at myself - I never noticed the 'ghan in the first pic here - all I saw were the dogs!

 

On your blog, the afghan your Grandma did looks like it has polka dots! Too cute - do you know what pattern she used?

I have no idea what pattern she used. Each circle has a one round square around it and then all the squares were sewn together. (Not a ghan I would ever make!)

Actually - it took a week and a half. I was determined to get it done in time to send it to my Mom for her birthday. Nothing else got done that week except making dinner. I couldn't pick up a hook for a week afterwards.

 

Thank God it was 2 strands and an N hook.
