This is another item I enetered in our local state fair.

Enjoy.

The coat got a blue ribbon and the hat got a red (second place) ribbon.

I made this for my sisters daughter she looks so cute with it on.

Those are really cute. Did you make up the pattern or get them from a book?

Its from a little of both. It is a pattern from 1953. I had to do a lot of guessing and figuring it out on my own, the instructions were not very clear. It was not an easy project. I think I put it away like 3 times and every time I decided to tackle it again. It sure wasn't like the patterns you can buy today.

Congratulations on your well-deserved ribbons, the hat and coat are beautifully made. Classic designs like that never go out of fashion.

I have made a coat, hat and bootees of similar style but in knitting. I can't knit anymore due to arm problems, and I would LOVE to have a pattern like yours for crochet. If you ever write it up I would be happy to pay you for your time. Seriously.

Thank you so much everyone.

here is the link for the person I bought it from on ebay.

I don't know what the book is called if there is any?

I bought the pattern a while back and just looked for it now on ebay and here it is. Just that I had to figure some of it out on my own I thought the pattern was a little difficult, thats just me though.

The yarn I used was Patons Grace Yarn in Blush
