actually, this is needle felted. no crocheting involved. it's done with wool fluff and special needles.... ck out this link (it's very very fun!)

WOW, those are just adorable. I went to that link and darn it, now i HAVE to get the purple teddy bear kit. If any of you know me, purple, my favorite color, and I collect teddy bears. These are too cute.

 

How long does it take??? I think all the needle felted animals are just too cute!!!!!!

it is truly great fun! this little guy took about 2 hours, maybe??? it's a quick get-done project when you really need the high of an FO!!

WOW and here I was thinking I was nuts or something because there are times when I just NEED to see something done so I'll make something quick & easy just to see it finished! A washcloth, potholder, anthing small. Woo-hoo...it's great to know you all get that same feeling!

That's inspired! Too too cute. And thanks so much for the link. I was given a knitted wool coat that has some damage. I plan to frog it, but have no idea what I can make from it because the yarn is HUGE--more like rope than yarn. Maybe I can fuzz it out and try needle felting with it.

i've read that 100% wool yarn needle felts well. i've never personally tried it though.

 

fiona - it's surprisingly very easy. and i do mean VERY easy
